Someone is murdering humans in Seattle. As the killings escalate, Joshua comes to Max with a dire suspicion: the killer may be one of their own. Tensions rise between normal humans and transgenics, and many would just as soon let the humans fend for themselves. Yet Max and her inner circle know they must investigate the crimes and stop the bloodshed. But what they discover shocks even the most jaded among them - and exposes a sinister agenda that leads to an old, nefarious foe...

Skin Game is the second in the trilogy of Dark Angel novels by Max Allan Collins which continue where the TV show ended. This novel is engaging from the start, and Collins' excellent writing style makes sure this story never misses a beat.

Fans of the series will not be the only ones who will appreciate this novel - it works as a stand alone story too for those who have never seen Dark Angel. Fans may be disappointed by the amount of time that Max appears on paper - she is hardly in any of the action scenes and those unfamiliar with the TV series may not even realise that she is supposed to be the main character - but that is only a slight quibble.

If you want a good solid read then you could do much worse than this.
