At the start of The Empire Strikes Back, when Luke
Skywalker became lost in the icy wastes of the planet Hoth,
what would have happened if Han's rescue mission had failed
and Luke had perished in the snow?
Now you can find out, as a bemused Han prepares to follow
Luke's final wish - to travel to the planet Dagobah, and train
as a Jedi with the mysterious Yoda...
The
Infinities range of Star Wars books may be in
its infancy, but it is certainly a range that could run and
run for years. The idea is simple. Take one pivotal moment
in the Star Wars universe, and follow a different path.
For
The Empire Strikes Back, the writers have Han finding
Luke a little too late setting off a chain of events that
see Han, Leia and the droids setting off to Dagobah so that
Han can train to become a Jedi. But when Yoda decides to train
Leia instead Han gets all stroppy. The
events also spill over into the plot for Return of the
Jedi.
The
artwork for this collection is, on the whole, very impressive
- although on more than one occasion Darth Vader's mask doesn't
look quite right.
Sadly,
everything is over far too quickly... I could have read this
for hours. A very engaging story. A must for Star Wars
fans.
