Join Matrix creators Larry and Andy Wachowski and some of

The
Matrix Comics, like
the Animatrix DVD, take the familiar world created
in the movies and spins out a number of related stories. Contributors
include Neil Gaiman (Sandman), Dave Gibbons (Watchmen),
Matrix designer Geof Darrow and the movies' creators,
Larry and Andy Wachowski.
There's
something here to cater to everyone's tastes - be it the writing
style of the short story by Gaiman; the beautiful illustrations
by Gregory Ruth; or the twisted cartoon style of Peter Bagge.
Each writer/artist takes their own particular slant on the
world of The Matrix.
And
it works wonderfully. These little bite sized stories are
perfect even if some, like Peter Bagge's excellent strip,
are a little predictable.
And
the good news is that this looks to be the start of an ongoing
series - which will no doubt please fans of the movies.
After
the near travesties that were The Matrix Reloaded and
The Matrix Revolutions, this collection reminds us
why we fell in love with the series in the first place.
