Rapper
Busta Cap has as many enemies as he does rhymes. So, when
he is shot, the list of suspects is long, its ranks swollen
by his East Coast rivals and the enraged father of Busta's
dead-by-overdose girlfriend. The CSI team must follow the
killer's trail through a dark and ugly maze of clues before
the murderer can be brought to justice...
After
the travesty that was Serial, the follow up collection,
Bad Rap, is everything the first instalment should
have been. Realistic dialogue, which you can almost hear the
actors from the show speaking, and the artwork has improved
somewhat - although it still looks as though Gabriel Rodriguez
is using too few publicity photos for inspiration. And to
be honest most of the illustrations still don't really look
like who they are supposed to.
But
the plot is much more believable, seeing the graveyard shift
on the CSI team attending murder scene after murder scene
in an attempt to piece together all the clues that will bring
the killer, or killers to justice.
There
is a great sense of humour running through this collection,
one that is corny, yet will make you smile.
Bad
Rap is a good collection and, if the series keeps up this
standard then fans of the show will be in for a treat.
