Spider is close to finally nailing US President Callahan,
whose attempts to hide his 'unusual' passions have left a
bloody trail in his wake. But time is short: the President
has declared martial law and his death squads are closing
in on Spider - though they may be saved the trouble if terminal
illness gets him first...
This
is it! One More Time is the last Transmetropolitan
in the series. There is no more. But, fortunately for us,
it is an absolute corker.
Starting
off from where the last book finished, the city is still under
martial
law, 'news' is now non existent due to the enforcement of
said marshal law and Spider is still on the run. The secret
service, police and the President's men are all after him.
Making stops on his journey, he spends his time putting out
the evidence that he can to try and convince the world that
the President is pure evil.
Now
this is where is become a bit stuck. I want to tell you more,
I want to tell you what happens so that you can understand
where I am coming from. But I can't. Instead all that I can
say is that this is fantastic. Ends are very difficult to
write, especially when the rest of the series is as solid
gold as this one. But Mr. Ellis has managed to pull it off
perfectly. This is fantastic story telling coupled with excellent
artwork. And to be honest, you can't really ask for more than
that.
Goodbye
spider. It has been a very enjoyable ride.
