In the wake of the devastating death of Troia and the disbanding
of Young Justice, Cyborg thinks it's time to get back to the
basics. Joining him are Starfire and Raven as they decide
to mentor those surviving teens - Robin, Superboy, Impulse
and Wonder Girl. While the reluctant heroes come to hear the
game plan, Deathstroke arrives on the scene and threatens
to derail Cyborg's dream. Are these champions ready for the
deadliest mercenary on Earth? And what secret is Deathstroke
hiding...
You're
going to need a little bit of history to get into A Kid's
Game. Thankfully that is provided... sort of. But this
may not be for the Teen Titans novice - so much has
gone before and it would be easy for you not to pick up the
pieces as you go.
If
you are familiar with this series however, you are in for
a treat. This collection reads and looks the business. It
also includes guest appearances by some of the JLA's finest
(Superman, The Flash and Wonder Woman.)
By
far my favourite character is Beast Boy. This little green
teenager can change into any creature he wishes too. Okay,
his origin may be a bit naff - he was bitten by a green, and
very rare, green primate - but he is pretty cool.
There
are also some background info on each of the main characters,
as well as some pages of rough sketches and finished covers.
A
Kid's Game is
a neat little package with an unbelievable cheap price tag.
