Four compelling tales, each told from the point of view of
the major villains of the Star Wars galaxy - the Imperials.
But, as these stories demonstrate, even the bad guys are no
strangers to loyalty, honour and sacrifice...
The
Imperial Perspective is another collection of interesting
tales from the Star Wars universe. My two favourite
stories were The Savage Heart and Target: Vader.
The
Savage Heart follows on from the events that unfolded
in Star Wars IV: A New Hope. Darth Vader, his ship
not functioning on all cylinders, sets down on an alien planet.
Can he survive against the savage alien creatures that are
indigenous to this barren land? Well... yes, of course. We
know he survives because he appeared in The Empire Strikes
Back. That doesn't detract though from what is an engaging
plot.
Target:
Vader, sees Darth Vader making an unexpected visit to
a band of low life pirates. It's a visit that they are not
expecting, and not prepared for. Why is Vader here and what
will he do if they don't provide him with what he wants?
The
art work in all of the stories is above average, as is the
script. Star Wars fans who want a little more Imperial
action will be in their element.
