After facing demons, angels and his own nightmares, Tim Hunter
- destined to be the world's most powerful magician - must
finally find out who he really is. And he must find out before
enemies old and new either turn him to their cause - or destroy
him...
With
the current frenzy to own anything and everything that has
the words Harry Potter emblazoned on it, it was only
a matter of time before someone tried to cash in by jumping
on the bandwagon. The
Names of Magic is
one such project. A teenage boy with glasses and the ability
to turn water into wine couldn't be further from the legends
of Harry Potter could they?
If
you ignore this fact, which is hard to do, then you have a
book which at it's core is not that exciting. A young lad
has magic powers, but needs saving from himself and others
who wish to track him down for their own means.
The
illustrations are not particularly outstanding and the cover
image is painful to look at - a photo of a geeky looking kid
with the wings of an angel.
If
you want to see how it's done properly go and buy a Harry
Potter comic instead.
