Before the Justice League of America, the Justice Society
of America were Earth's mightiest defenders, and now - revived
and rejuvenated, featuring a dynamic roster of superheroes
including The Flash, Hawkgirl, Starman, Wildcat and Black
Canary - they are once more ready to stand and fight against
the forces of destruction. A creature known as Obsidian leads
an invasion on the Earth. In this battle there can be no winner
and the tragedy awaiting may well tear the JSA apart for ever...
The
main problem I had with JSA: Darkness falls is that
there is just way to much going on and not enough action is
really taking place. The writers are so busy incorporating
all the characters in the story that the plot gets lost. Also,
from a readers point of view, because of the vast number of
characters it is hard to keep your mind on what little plot
there is.
This
graphic novel is simply a reprint from the DC comics series
using the same poor quality paper with a nice glossy cover.
For £15 we should expect more, but don't get it.
Sadly,
this is a disappointing graphic novel which will only really
appeal to hard-core JSA fans.
