On
6th December, 1992 a new type of bomb exploded over the metropolitan
area of Japan with horrific global consequences. Almost 40
years later in 2030 the Japanese population is beginning to
rebuild its social society, little knowing that a much greater
threat to the human race is on the horizon...
Book
2 in the Akira series sees Tetsuo (an angry young
individual who possesses a rapidly growing psychic ability)
becoming increasingly unstable. And for reasons unknown, he
is starting to become increasingly obsessed with the urge
to meet Akira face to face. But before he can set Akira free
he must outwit a group that are determined to stop him.
OK!
With me so far? If not you shouldn't be reading this, but
instead you should be off down the local comic shop to ensure
you have a copy of Akira - book 1. You won't have a
clue what is going on if you dive straight in here.
The
artwork is up to the standard you'd expect and plot roars
along like an express train.
Put
simply, this is bloody good! And well worth the £23
asking price.
