Dante
and Randal run the local convenience and video stores - not
difficult jobs you'd think. But Randal would rather be off
doing anything other than serving the customers and Dante
can't help but follow his friend into trouble...
Clerks
features
several stories from the comic series. And basically, as you'd
expect, if you are not a Kevin Smith fan then you will be
completely lost. Sure, Smith writes for a wider audience -
and you really don't need to have seen the movie Clerks
to get the gags, but those that hate Smith's work will hate
this.
Personally
I am a huge fan of Smith's cinematic art (hell, I even thought
the Clerks cartoon series was funny) and also found
these stories to be pretty good.
If
you love Kevin Smith's work then you really should purchase
this as it fills in a few missing gaps in the movies (for
example it explains what happens when Dante and Randal go
to Julie Marie Dwyer's funeral - sick but funny).
Titan
have done a great job, as usual, in producing a fine collection.
A must buy for Clerks fans.
